Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and passionate WordPress Developer to join our development team. As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-quality WordPress websites, ensuring they are fast, secure, and user-friendly. You will work closely with designers, content managers, and project managers to create custom WordPress themes, plugins, and solutions that meet the specific needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins based on specific project requirements.
• Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins to meet client needs.
• Collaborate with designers to implement responsive, pixel-perfect designs that are mobile-friendly.
• Integrate WordPress websites with third-party applications, tools, and APIs.
• Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, including bugs, compatibility problems, and performance bottlenecks.
• Maintain and update websites, ensuring they are secure, up to date, and perform optimally.
• Work with the team to implement eCommerce solutions, including WooCommerce setups, custom features, and payment gateway integrations.
• Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance for WordPress websites after launch.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio of websites you’ve built or contributed to.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
• Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development, customization, and troubleshooting.
• In-depth understanding of WordPress core functionality, structure, and best practices.
• Experience with popular page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery).
• Familiarity with website hosting environments, FTP/SFTP, and DNS management.
• Strong knowledge of website performance optimization techniques, including caching and image optimization.
• Solid understanding of SEO best practices for WordPress websites.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with WooCommerce and eCommerce website development.
• Familiarity with creating and managing WordPress multisite installations.
• Experience with building and optimizing membership or subscription-based websites.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation.
• Experience with custom post types, custom fields, and taxonomies.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards and WCAG compliance.
• Experience integrating social media, APIs, and third-party services.
